GIS Transfer. The WinCan GIS Transfer module employs a meta-database to correlate data between multiple WinCan projects and mapping software. As a result, you can toggle easily between a mapped location and its corresponding inspection data inside WinCan. GIS Database Link*. WinCan links directly to any open architecture GIS database. As data is updated in the WinCan database, a custom utility can automatically update the corresponding data in the GIS database. This utility can be configured for error-checking, change confirmation, data validation and more. GIS Database Upload*. With WinCan's open database, moving information from WinCan to a GIS database is easy. Simply map WinCan fields to the GIS database and upload at your convenience. GIS Database Download. If your information already exists in a GIS database, WinCan Map imports it into WinCan, eliminating data re-entry and operator error. * Custom utilities can be built by the user or by WinCan.
